- LOAD-TESTED, WITH CERTIFICATE: Every JLP-050A-10 is proof-tested to 125% of its 1,000 lb rated capacity and ships with its own test certificate. It complies with ANSI/ASME B30.21 and HST-3, the U.S. standards for manually lever-operated chain hoists.
- A BRAKE YOU CAN CHECK: The all-steel, powder-coated body encloses a Weston-style automatic brake with twin opposing pawls that split the load across the ratchet gear. A brake wear indicator on the handwheel shows when the friction discs are due for service, and the alloy steel hooks slowly stretch to warn of an overload.
- FOR LIGHT- TO MEDIUM-DUTY LIFTING AND PULLING: Use it vertically as a hoist, or at an angle or horizontally as a puller (come along), for rigging, maintenance, and equipment positioning up to 1,000 lb.
- COMPACT, LIGHT, AND QUICK TO RIG: Weighs 6.8 lb with 10 ft of 4.3 mm Grade 80 black-oxide load chain. Minimum headroom is 10-1/16 in., the lever is 8-7/16 in., and the hook throat is 1-3/8 in. Lifting the full rated load takes about 86 lb of lever pull. A three-position UP / N / DN selector adds a no-load free-chain mode for fast slack take-up.
