Q1: It says 15 sheets at P-5 — will it actually handle that without slowing down?
A: Yes. Driven by a heavy-duty induction motor, it maintains a steady 12.5 ft/min speed even under maximum 15-sheet capacity without lagging, supporting a continuous throughput of up to 200 sheets per minute.
Q2: Is the motor reliable long-term for high-volume shredding?
A: Extremely reliable. It features a brushless induction motor that runs cooler and lasts significantly longer than traditional brushed motors. Backed by ETL safety certification and dual thermal protection, it prevents overheating during heavy daily use.
Q3: Does the micro-cut particle size create a mess when emptying the bin?
A: Static cling is natural with tiny 2×10mm P-5 particles. To minimize mess, tap the bin sides before removal, use a trash bag liner, and empty at 80% full. The large 8-gallon bin reduces empty frequency.
Q4: Do CDs and credit cards actually get micro-cut or just snapped?
A: They are fully micro-cut into secure 2×10mm particles through the main slot. High-grade manganese steel cutters easily process optical discs and standard plastic cards without needing a separate slot.
Q5: It weighs 57 lbs. Is it practical for daily use?
A: It is a heavy-duty stationary unit. At 26.1" high, it sits neatly under standard desks, and the extra weight significantly dampens vibration and operational noise for stable daily performance.
